How are students selected for interviews?

By selecting the apply button above right, you will access the online Metro Link interview management system called eRecruiting which is administered by a company called experience.com. Accessing the who's coming area of this Web site is where you go to review employer job descriptions; submit résumés, cover letters, and grade sheets; sign up for interviews; and manage your interview schedule.

Before you can use the online system, you must first be a registered user. Registering is easy for all eligible students and explained well once you access the eRecruiting system by selecting who's coming. Once registered on the system, you will be able to review the needs of Metro Link employers; put your résumés and other documents online; and view the job listings posted by employers.

Each participating employer will have 13 interview openings on their schedule. Upon receiving résumés of interested students, each employer will preselect two students from each of the four participating colleges plus additional students as preferred. These organizations will also select a few alternates from each school.

To be considered for any of the Metro Link employers you will need to submit a résumé with a cover letter by 11:59 p.m., on March 16, 2008 (see timeline above right for more details). Submit a résumé for each employer that you are interested in interviewing with. Employers will make their selection on March 20, 2008. You will need to access the system after 9:00 a.m. on March 21, 2008 to determine if you have been selected for an interview and then to schedule your interview. What's left is attending the Metro Link recruiting event in New York on Monday, March 28, 2008, and walk away a happy student with a job offer (hopefully)!
