About The Charles B. Wang Community Health Center
The Charles B. Wang Community Health Center, established in 1971, is a non-profit community based health center that provides comprehensive primary care, social services, and health education to underserved Asian Americans in New York City. The majority of our patients are low-income, Chinese or Korean speaking immigrants. Our services include internal medicine, pediatrics, dental, mental health, women’s health, social work, health education, health careers training, and research. In 2006, the Health Center served more than 32,000 patients for 165,000 medical and dental visits.
Requirements
These summer internships are open to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors only. All internships must be a minimum of 10 weeks in duration. Start and end dates can be negotiated with the employer.
Funding
Thanks to the generosity of Goldman Sachs, participants will receive a stipend to assist with their summer expenses.

Housing is to be secured on your own but search assistance may be provided through UCS. Be sure to research the location of your apartment and the distance to your internship site.
