Tiffany Ng

Tiffany Ng came to Yale from San Francisco, California unsure of everything else but with one definite objective in mind: to make it into the Guild. Since succeeding in that endeavor, she has served as Auditions Coordinator (a.k.a. Heeler Monster), Tower Keeper, and Webmaster, and will be Tour Manager, Co-Social Chair, and Webmaster next year. While on tour with the Guild, she has had the opportunity to take lessons at carillon schools in France, Belgium, and The Netherlands, at Peace Tower in Ottawa, Canada, and at the University of California at Berkeley.

Tiffany began taking piano lessons at the age of nine. She studied with Dr. William Wellborn at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she was named to the Honorary Distinction List in 2001, with Nancy Garrett at the University of Texas at Austin, and with Dr. Melvin Chen through the Yale School of Music. She was invited to perform thrice by the annual Convention of the Music Teachers’ Association of California. She also studied the viola for six years and was assistant principal violist in the San Francisco All-City Honors Orchestra.

This summer she will be a math and science teacher for the Ulysses S. Grant Summer Program and a business development intern for Off The Map Press. At Yale, she is involved in the Yale College Vegetarian Society, Society Electronica, Special Needs Awareness & Peer Services, and Yale Tae Kwon Do.

Currently, Tiffany studies organ with Christopher Jennings through the Yale School of Music. She hopes to double major in English and Music, focusing on creative writing and music technology and multimedia.
