This Russian folk group, which has participated in folk festivals, concert and television programs in Russia, Belgium, Holland, Luxembroug, and Germany, was formed in mid-1994 by our three guest artists.
Alexander Solovo attended the Music School of Ryazan from 1975 to 1984 when he moved top the Music College of Ryazan until 1988. He was in the service of the orchestra of the “Air Force of Russia” (Moscow) for the 1988-89 season. Then in 1989 he began five years of study at the State Conservatorium (Saratov). From 1994 to the present, he has studied at the Royal Carillon School, Jef Denyn, in Mechelen, Belgium.
Elena Sadina was born in 1970 in Ivanovo, Russia. Her music education began at school in 1977. Seven years later she continued it at a music college. In 1994, she graduated from the renowned Saratov State Conservatory with highest honors. During the course of her studies, she won prizes in several competitions: 1989 - 2nd place, Folk Instrument competition in N. Novgorod, Russia; 1992 - 1st place, Russian Bell Ringing Competition; 1999 - 2nd prize, an international carillon competition in Holland. Elena currently studies at the Royal Carillon School, Jef Denyn, in Mechelen, Belgium.
Sergej Gratchev was also born in 1970 in Ivanovo, Russia. From the age of eight, he studied at a music school and entered a music college seven years later. In 1994, he graduated from the Saratov State Conservatory with highest honors. Over the course of his studies, he won several prizes: 1998 - 1st place, a folk instrument competition in Peusa, Russia; 1989 - 2nd place, Folk Instrument competition in N. Novgorod, Russia; 1992 - 1st place, Russian Bell Ringing Competition. In 1998, he was a finalist in the Fourth Queen Fabiola International Carillon Competition. He currently studies with Jo Haazen at the Royal Carillon School, Jef Denyn, in Mechelen, Belgium.
