Jeremy Chesman (b.1978, Michigan) is University Carillonist and Instructor of Music at Southwest Missouri State University, where he also teaches music theory and opera. He has performed throughout America and in the Netherlands, Canada, France, Portugal, and Belgium. In 2000, he was a Fellow of the Belgian American Educational Foundation, earning a grant to study at the Royal Carillon School in Mechelen. He earned a Final Diploma with Distinction from that institution in 2002. In the United States, he was the first person awarded the Master of Music degree in Carillon Performance from the University of Michigan. His primary teachers have been Eddy Mariën, Margo Halsted, and Todd Fair.
