Turner, a Junior Music and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations double major in Morse College, hails from Minot, North Dakota where he studied piano with Virginia Dohms for twelve years. He also studies tenor voice and has played viola since the age of nine. He sings in the Battell Chapel Choir, Repertory Chorus, and with The Duke's Men of Yale and occasionally plays viola in the Saybrook College Orchestra and various chamber ensembles. Entering his second year with the Guild of Carillonneurs, Turner is eager to put together a successful European tour with Tom as well as keep the Guild social as Social Chair.
