Graduate Degree Programs
Brief descriptions are given of the departments and interdisciplinary programs that offer admission to the Graduate School.
Links are included to department/program home pages where available. In
many of these departments and programs, students admitted for the PhD may also
qualify for the Master of Arts, Master of Science, or Master of Philosophy as
degrees "en route." Several of the programs offer direct admission for the terminal Master of Arts or Master of Science degree.

Yale University Graduate School Programs and Policies,
issued each August, contains a more comprehensive and definitive
description of each department and program, including a list of
faculty members and courses taught, as well as the academic rules
and regulations of the Graduate School. Programs and Policies
for the current academic year may be purchased by sending a check for
$5.00 (in U.S. dollars, drawn on a U.S. bank), payable to
