Brief descriptions of the departments and interdisciplinary programs that offer admission to the Graduate School are given below. Links are included to department/program home pages where available. In many of these departments and programs, students admitted for the PhD may also qualify for the Master of Arts, Master of Science, or Master of Philosophy as degrees "en route."  Several of the programs offer direct admission for the terminal Master of Arts or Master of Science degree.
