About HR Technology and Decision Support

Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Personnel Records Administration and the Transaction Control Center support the management of employee information and payroll processing for the Yale community.

Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)

Send requests to hris.usersupport@yale.edu.

  • Develops long-range planning and project management for HR technology.
  • Troubleshoots the Oracle HR/Payroll system.
  • Provides technical assistance for STARS; please send queries to stars@yale.edu
  • Supports HR reports in the BUG Library and Data Warehouse Portal.
  • Creates customized campus mailing and email. distribution lists or reporting available from STARS, Oracle, and Kronos.

  • Provides verification of employment and salary information. Only written requests will be accepted; please direct all fax requests to 203-432-5536.

Transaction Control Center

Fax written request to 203-436-4240 or email hrtrans@yale.edu.

  • Processes all personnel transactions including new hires, personnel actions, benefits, and pay elements.
  • Handles payroll adjustments for all Yale staff (M&P, C&T, S&M and casuals).
  • Administers Child Scholarship program; processes applications and payments.
  • Assures data quality of HR records.
  • Facilitates Oracle training and support.
  • Supports system and upgrade testing.

  • Awards up to $25,000 for approved home purchase.
  • Conducts free information series about buying and maintaining a home for Yale University employees.
