Computational Linguistics is a research program in which computational methods are applied to linguistics problems. This can take the form of corpus studies, signal processing, machine translation, and models of acquisition.
The CLAY research group is involved in a variety of projects pursuing computational approaches to the study of phonology, syntax, morphology, language acquisition, segmentation, and the modelling of diachronic language change.
