Macintosh System 7.5

System 7.5 users should be aware of the availability of Macintosh System 7.5 Update 1.0, which upgrades your 7.5 system to version 7.5.1. Apple's latest version of the Mac OS provides users with usability and performance enhancements to Macintosh System 7.5, and delivers some "native" components of the operating system written to take specific advantage of the PowerPC-based Power Macintosh computers. A few of these enhancements include: improved handling of low-memory situations, faster file sharing, the ability to turn off the computer using the keyboard Power On key, and the addition of Macintosh Drag and Drop support to the Launcher so that it is easier to add or remove items.

Macintosh System 7.5 Update 1.0 is available on the "ASHD server," on the volume "System 7.5 Update Net Install." The update may be installed onto your system 7.5 over the network. The "ASHD server" is found in the zone "CIS file servers."
